LICKING REGIONAL WATER DISTRICT

Jim Roberts is Executive Director of the Licking Regional Water District, where he oversees day-to-day operations, long-term planning and strategic development of water and wastewater services across one of Ohio’s fastest-growing regions. With more than 40 years of experience in engineering and public utilities, Roberts brings a deep understanding of infrastructure management, regulatory compliance, budget and project management, and customer service.

 

Prior to joining the district, Roberts spent over 30 years in private consulting, owning and operating his own firm (Jobes Henderson & Associates) and working with numerous public clients in that role.  His focus in the private world was to improve the health and well being of the public and his clients while maintaining the highest degree of ethics and integrity. The same collaborative approach and technical expertise that led to his success in the private sector is helping him guide the district’s response to rapid population growth and increasing service demands.

 

Roberts is a 1984 graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Ohio and many other states as well as a Registered Surveyor in the State of West Virginia.
